| The crew of Cullercoats lifeboat welcomed home the stations mini-mascots recently, following their mammoth 30,000 mile trip around the world.
For the past 6 months, Mini Robert and Mini Michael had given-up the comfort of their shelf in the Cullercoats Lifeboat Shop and took to the air, land and sea's as they travelled across America, Fiji, Australia, Thailand and beyond - promoting the RNLI in places like the Sydney Opera House and on San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge.
The ceramic sightseers, were often seen posing with locals and fraternizing with the stars in famous places like Hollywood's walk of fame and on the set of TV's Survivor.
A far cry from their Cullercoats home, the pair were seen on the streets of LA, at a Thai temple and soaking up the sun in some of the world's most exotic locations.
The Ductile Duo couldn't miss a ceremony though, and were brought back to Cullercoats for the naming of the new lifeboat, Hylton Burdon, where they were reunited with the lifeboat crew.
A final highlight for them and fans was when they met up with their real-life counterparts Cullercoats Lifeboat Senior Helmsman Robert Oliver and the Tynemouth Lifeboat Coxswain Michael Nugent - both who were surprised at the huge following their mini prodigies had obtained.
The Fatigued Figures are soon to be given a display area in Cullercoats Lifeboat Station, so future visitors to the boathouse can see them on display and enjoy their holiday snaps, until they take-off on another trip that is!
