Cullercoats
Lifeboat annually hold a tug o' war event on New Years Day,
and the 1st January 2006 was no exception.
For
the second year running, we held two tug o' war events one
at the Quarry Pub, and another at the Queens Head Inn, Cullercoats.
Both
teams proved a challenge for the Lifeboat Lads, with the scores
at 1-1 after two rounds during both games.
The
lifeboat lads were able to secure victory at the first venue,
beating the Quarry team 2-1. But the Queens team were on top-form
and managed to just beat the lifeboat team in the third round.
